Charles Hoskinson Reveals Ambitious Plan to Onboard 5 Million Users to Cardano's Lace Wallet

Cardano (ADA) creator Charles Hoskinson is announcing a new goal of onboarding five million new users onto the ecosystem’s Lace wallet.

Cardano's Ambitious Goal to Enroll 5 Million Students and Overcoming Bureaucratic Hurdles in Ethiopia

Cardano, the blockchain platform, aims to enroll five million students, providing educational opportunities to cover the entire K through 12 education system. The long-term vision extends to reaching over 20 to 30 million young individuals, aged 25 or younger, across the country. However, the progress is being hindered by bureaucratic challenges. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, highlights that collaboration between Cardano developer IOG and the Ethiopian government is crucial in overcoming these obstacles.

Hoskinson emphasizes that the delays are primarily due to the complexity of coordinating government efforts and consolidating resources. Despite the bureaucratic nature of large-scale government programs in emerging digital economies, Hoskinson remains patient and optimistic about the potential impact.

Once the program reaches the desired level of maturity and cooperation, discussions can progress on how to connect the enrolled users to digital wallets, facilitating their transition into adulthood when they start purchasing homes and using credit cards.

However, connecting users to digital wallets faces additional challenges in Ethiopia. Current capital controls and the central bank's cautious approach towards cryptocurrency adoption present hurdles in implementing seamless connections with platforms like Lace.

Despite these challenges, Cardano continues to work diligently, and Hoskinson expresses excitement about the prospects of achieving their ambitious goals. At the time of writing, Cardano (ADA) is trading at $0.315, representing a 1.7% increase in the last 24 hours.
