Here's What's Coming for Cardano (ADA) After the Big Vasil Upgrade, According to Creator Charles Hoskinson

Cardano (ADA) creator Charles Hoskinson is revealing what's next for rival Ethereum (ETH) blockchain after the highly anticipated Vasil upgrade.

In a new video, Hoskinson confirms the release date of the Vasil hard fork, an upgrade aimed at increasing Cardano's scalability.

“This was one of the longest updates, probably the hardest we've ever had to do as an ecosystem. If we were all done with our work, we would wake up on September 22 and it would be just another day. That is the magic and power of the Cardano ecosystem. "

Once the major Vasil update is up and running, Hoskinson said Cardano will continue to grow.
“In the future, there will be a big flashback to how we do things. There will also be an in-depth conversation about the overall architecture of Cardano as it is and how we take it to the next level to make it more useful, portable, openable Wider and better for everyone

There will be a lot of CIPs (Cardano Improvement Proposals) Some CIPs are related to Voltaire and governance Some CIPs [have] to do with Basho and capabilities expanded and needed to do a lot of cleanup when we transferred it from a management role to a membership based organization and then joined you in that capacity. is what's really about 2023.”

The creator of the smart contract platform also said that the Vasil upgrade brings Cardano closer to its ultimate goals.

“The gap between us and everyone is becoming more and more obvious. We built Cardano to be the financial operating system of the world. We built it for bankless deposit. We built it as a community to provide economic identity to those who don't have it so we can have a fair global marketplace. It's a crazy mission and huge scope but with Vasil arriving on September 22, it feels much more achievable. At the time of writing, Cardano is changing hands at $0.47, up nearly 6% on the day.
