Crypto.com CEO Announces Nine-Figure Investment Support to Renovate and Upgrade Iconic Los Angeles Arena

Crypto.com CEO says the digital asset exchange is supporting a major makeover of one of the world's most famous indoor sports venues.

In a new press release, Crypto.com Arena announced plans to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to enhance the fan experience throughout the venue as well as in the surrounding plaza.

The renovation will be led by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), which involved original venue designers Dan Meis and Ron Turner to assist with the major redesign.

AEG plans to "invest nine figures in capital improvements and total asset upgrades" for LA LIVE's stadium and Xbox Plaza. Renovation efforts have begun and will continue through fall 2024.

AEG Sports CEO Kelly Cheeseman said,

“The project is comprehensive and wide-ranging. This is the most important re-imagining of our home in the history of our arena. The upgrade will not only bring the experience to everyone, but it will also provide a breath of fresh air and energy to our arena starting this fall.

Once completed, we will work from floor to ceiling to enhance every fan's overall experience. ”

Project highlights will include:

  • The upgraded City View Terrace will offer indoor-outdoor dining and downtown skyline views. city.
  • “Tunnel Club” and other amenities to enhance the fan experience on the ground.
  • improvements on some of the arena's entrances and grounds.
  • new high-end lounge areas as well as upgraded VIP clubs.

Crypto.com Arena is home to the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers as well as the NHL's Kings and WNBA's Sparks.

In late 2021, the Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange signed an agreement. $700 million to rename the Staples Center logo.
