In an interview at the Web Summit taking place in Lisbon (Portugal), Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao stated that he would be ready to join the Twitter leadership if invited by Elon Musk.

This is the first Twitter-related statement from the owner of Binance since the social network was acquired by billionaire Elon Musk in the last week of October.

As reported by FoxCryptoNews, after a long time of negotiations and much controversy, Elon Musk has finally completed the acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion. America's richest billionaire then made sweeping changes to Twitter, starting with the firing of senior management, disbanding the current leadership and taking the position of interim CEO, and most recently. is proposing to turn the "green tick" into a subscription service for 8 USD/month for all users instead of the previous limit.

Binance itself also has many moves to support Elon Musk in the plan to buy Twitter, most notably by contributing $ 500 million to Musk. Later, it was reported that Binance was setting up a dedicated team to make recommendations for integrating blockchain and crypto into Twitter.

The exchange also recently created a futures contract called “Bluebird Index” including 3 coins BNB, DOGE and MASK. “Bluebird” means blue bird – a reference to the Twitter logo. Many people think that Binance may already know about Elon Musk's upcoming change plan for Twitter, if it is preparing this indicator.

Returning to the interview, Mr. Changpeng Zhao suggested several ways of accepting crypto payments for Twitter, which the CEO said is "the easiest way to just integrate Binance Pay" - Binance's payment solution. CZ said:

“It is very easy to support several dozen or even hundreds of different cryptocurrencies as payment methods. We already have a solution called Binance Pay available. The service allows users to accept payments in any coin or fiat currency they want, and Binance doesn't even charge a conversion fee.”

Mr. Zhao also stated his willingness to “support and do things related to crypto or Web3” for Twitter, but acknowledged that Binance's voice is not large because it is only a small shareholder.

When asked about Musk's future plans with Twitter, the Binance CEO said:

“He mentioned Dogecoin, charged for tweets, charged for comments, charged for green ticks. I think all of that is about to be applied.”

Despite this, the Binance CEO revealed that he has not met with Elon Musk in person, as both have busy schedules.
