Former Goldman Sachs Exec Makes Bullish Case for Ethereum Rival Solana, Calls SOL the "Best Story" After ETH

Former Goldman Sachs executive Raoul Pal states Solana (SOL) is among his top altcoin picks and potentially the most promising project outside of Ethereum (ETH). The former hedge fund manager believes Solana presents the "best story" in the crypto space after Ethereum.

In a new interview with Altcoin Daily, Real Vision founder Raoul Pal says Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, aka "Toly," is emerging as an important thought leader representing the Solana ecosystem well.

“Too many people get too attached to what they like just because they’re part of it. But I just observe Solana objectively... I see Toly as a thought leader - accepting of others, building bridges not destroying them,” Pal explained.

“I see a very engaged developer community, passionate about building their technology and ecosystem. Lots of users and public awareness around the chain.”

With Visa recently announcing stablecoin settlement capabilities on Solana, Pal believes the chances are low that Visa made a bad decision.

If crypto sees another market expansion soon, as Pal expects, he says Solana could be one of the safest bets.

“Why is Visa using Solana? Because it’s fast and does the job well. It’s different from Ethereum, as Toly talks about integration between the two. This shows Visa choosing wrong is unlikely since things can be bridged and interoperable,” Pal elaborated.

“I’ve just been observing Solana executing flawlessly despite all the fear and hate. For me, it’s a great story - probably the best major narrative after Ethereum. We're looking at the top altcoin with relative security, not a wild guess...”
